Countdown to Macworld: Day 8

Philip Blog, Live, Public Appearances, Smileworthy

Smile has exhibited at Macworld Expo ten times! But on Day 8 of this countdown, we want to share a photo from another great event that we sponsor: the Mac Computer Expo in Petaluma. We've been at MCE eight times! When you add it up, that's a lot of demos and handshakes. (Yes, we always bring hand sanitizer to these events…)

Macworld | iWorld is almost here! Did you get your free Expo Hall Pass? We still have a few left, but hurry–the link will expire soon!!

Today's photo comes from 2009. We decided to do the whole 20' x 10' booth on our own, so we needed some new help! Maia Olson and Angel Vu joined our booth team. They had so much fun that they agreed to continue to work with us in customer support. If you've had a support question, there's a good chance that Maia or Angel answered it!

Our good friend Lorene Romero, the organizer of Mac Computer Expo among other things, also lent us a hand.

Countdown to Macworld: Day 6

Today's photo is from Macworld 2008. For some reason, we took no group pictures of the team at the booth this year, but you can see us all in action, from left to right: Philip, Jean, Brian, Jane, Edward, and Greg. In 2007 and 2008, we shared our booth space with our friends from Ovolab.

Meet the Authors! We are doing some thing new at the booth this year. Two of our favorite Take Control authors will be digitally signing your copies of their books–using PDFpen for iPad, of course!

Come meet Michael E. Cohen and Joe Kissell on Friday at 3 p.m. Michael is the author of Take Control of PDFpen and Take Control of TextExpander; Joe is the author of Take Control of Your Paperless Office, a subject near and dear to the hearts of many PDFpen users.

Smile is located in the Appalooza section of the Expo Hall.

Countdown: Day 5 Here's a photo of the team at Macworld 2007. Notice anything different? We decided to try having a full size booth this year. This is why 2007 is known in the Smile chronicles as The Year Of Going Crazy. Let's just say we learned a lot in prepping for this show about many things, including power tools.

A couple new faces at the booth: our good friends Steve Splonskowski (aka Splons) and Edward McNair, who gave us a hand covering the expanded work schedule for the expanded booth. Jane designed the booth graphics.

Countdown: Day 4 Today's stroll down Smile Memory Lane takes us to 2006. This was an exciting year for us: our new product BrowseBack won Best of Show! We were proud to announce that all our products were “Intel-Ready Already!”. Our friend Jane Pellicciotto joined us on the booth staff. (Jane is the talented designer who is responsible for the current lineup of Smile product icons!)
